With whom do you find yourself spending the most time? Are these people of Godly character? Paul wrote, “Bad company corrupts good character,” (1Corinthians 15:33, NIV). He didn’t say good character could change bad company and make it good. Just the opposite is true. Although we must be in the world, we must carefully discern with whom to allow ourselves to be closest. This will help us maintain Godly character and not be of the world. “A righteous man is cautious in friendship, but the way of the wicked leads them astray,” (Proverbs 12:26, NIV). Let’s protect ourselves by choosing friends with Jesus-like character. The more we spend time with them and Him, the more like Him we become. When we live like Christ and make decisions of integrity and character, we share Jesus by just living!
