Some of Jesus character qualities are love, justice, mercy, humility, faithfulness, and righteousness. We’ll never attain earthly perfection, but it should be our goal to “live a life worthy of the calling we have received” (Ephesians 4:1). What is that calling? To love God with our whole heart, mind, soul, and strength, and love our neighbors as ourselves. This is difficult for most because we live in a generation where it’s acceptable to put self first and step on others to get to the top. Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me” (Matthew 16:24). As we follow Him, we’ll be transformed to be like Him. Instead of us needing to climb to the top, He will raise us up to do what He’s calling us to do. All He desires is a submissive, willing heart. Do people routinely see glimpses of Jesus’ character in you?

Pray: I want to follow You and love You with all that I am. Help me live and love so that others can see You.
