Nothing we could’ve done or will ever do can separate us from the love of God. This doesn’t mean its okay to willfully sin, but it does mean as believers we’re covered by the blood of Jesus when we do. Like the Pharisees it’s easy to become judgmental and forget to extend grace to others the way God has extended it to us. Remember grace is bestowing kindness. As Jesus followers the tents of our bodies house the Holy Spirit. If we’re walking in the Spirit, we will be mindful to love others the way Christ has loved us. Forgiveness doesn’t mean we have to be best friends with a person whose hurt us deeply, but we can extend grace by loving like Jesus regardless of our hurts. Surely our sin must have hurt the heart of God. It’s sobering to think of where we would be if He hadn’t extended grace to us. Praise God for His inexpressible gift!
