Birthdays and Giveaways

 I’m so excited.

I’ve never been one to bother with getting upset over birthdays.  The whole growing older thing is inevitable, I realize.

This year insecurities about turning 40 have been trying to creep in, and I’m fighting.  So my plan of attack is to embrace it, and GET EXCITED.

I want to be one of those women, and we’ve all seen them, who age with poise and dignity.  I think it would be such a gift from God if I could just manage to grow old gracefully.

So that’s my goal… and prayer… “Lord, let me grow old gracefully and shine for You.”

One of my favorite things in the world is to see someone surprised with gifts.  I LOVE giving gifts.

So to EMBRACE turning 40, I’m glorying and giving!!!

The four books I’m giving away are wonderfully written by beautiful women of God.

A Confident Heart by Renee Swope

Made to Crave by Lysa Terkeurst

{w}hole by Lisa Whittle

One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp

There are 2 ways to enter to win:  Either subscribe to my  blog OR leave a comment.  Either way!  (If you’ve already subscribed, no worries just leave a comment).

*If you’re uncomfortable leaving a comment, it can be as short and sweet as “Happy Birthday” or “Entering giveaway.”

Hope this helps:)

I will be drawing 4 names out of a hat–or whatever my children decide to use, as I’m sure they will be helping me–next week.  The winners will be announced on Thursday, April 5th right here on my blog.  Please check back to see if you won.  I will need you to email me with your mailing address.

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights…” James 1:17

I hope you will be one of the winners.  And to make this even more fun for me– and possibly the best birthday EVER– I humbly ask you to pass this on to get the word out!

I’m having fun with this, so thank you!!

I have learned to embrace my Birthday as a day that is all about me! ;D

I decided one year to find out how many freebies I could get for my Birthday. I ended up with a free meal from a local Chinese restaurant, a free Mocha from Dutch Bros and Starbucks (after registering my gift card), a free burger from Red Robin and Ruby Tuesday, a free Ice Cream Creation from Coldstone and Baskin Robbins, a free dessert from Carinos and Applebees, and…well, you get the picture! ;D I had a BLAST!!!!!!!!
