Rivera International Ministries

Rivera International Ministries is a community united through prayer, worship, and the Word. Our core value is to love like Jesus and carry the gospel to the nations. We are committed to bridging generational, denominational, racial, gender, and socioeconomic divides with the radical love of Jesus.

Our Mission: Love Jesus, love people, and lead them to know Him more.

Name: The name for the ministry, though highlighting Rivera Douthit’s first name, is very specifically about the river of God as mentioned in Ezekiel 47. In some cultures, Rivera’s name means, “River of Life.” In others it means “river bank.” While praying for confirmation for the ministry name, God pointed out Rivera International Ministries by highlighting the acronym RIM. In a vision one of the ministry leaders, Laurie Glascock, saw the RIM of a cup. She saw the river flowing out over the RIM and heard the Lord say the ministry would be a Holy Spirit led and anointed ministry and out of the overflow of that river of the Spirit within the ministry would come great moves of God.

“Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing.” Ezekiel 47:12

We believe...

JESUS: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and un-blameable and un-reproveable in his sight. Colossians 1:15-2
God is the Creator of the universe. He gave the ocean its borders, He carved the majestic mountains, hung the stars in the sky and told them to sing. He gives the butterfly wings and the fireflies light.
The Bible is the written Word of God and absolute truth. It is alive and active. It directs our paths, and breathes life into our souls. Its nourishment as bread, and on it we feast.
Jesus was not created but has always been. He is the Son of God, and co-equal with the Father and Holy Spirit as one of the three persons of the Trinity (the triune God). He was born of a virgin. He’s the Word who became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1). He walked this sod as a human, healed and served others, suffered and was tempted but was without sin. Jesus was crucified on a cross fulfilling Jewish prophecies of the Old Testament. He died on that cross to take on the punishment for our sins. He was a lamb without blemish who died and rose on the third day (also fulfilling prophecy) so we could be in a right relationship with the Father. By His resurrection, He demonstrated His power over sin and death. Jesus is alive today, sitting at the right hand of the Father in heaven. He will return for His Bride, the Church. Jesus constantly reveals the Father. He’s the Healer, Savior, and Deliverer. Through Jesus we have LIFE!
The Holy Spirit is also co-equal with the Father and Son and dwells in the heart of every person who believes and is saved. Holy Spirit is the revealer of Jesus. He gives direction, counsel and guidance to every believer and convicts the hearts of those who do not yet believe. Holy Spirit is the best gift giver and guides every step, and we adore His company and counsel.
